Las Vegas is the best gambling destination because of its world-famous casinos. But there’s so much more to Las Vegas than just being Sin City.
Whether you’re visiting for a day or a week, there are always plenty of non-gambling destinations to explore. The clock never stops in Las Vegas so you can go around day or night and make memories at all hours
Let’s take a look at the most popular destinations in Las Vegas.
Caesars Palace
Caesars Palace is one of the last old-school properties remaining in Las Vegas. This 53-year-old icon of Sin City has a Roman Empire theme. Its ornate designs and theatrical presence give the resort an atmosphere that not even the bigger and newer real money casinos in Las Vegas can match.
Whether wagering a few chips on its lavish casino floor, taking a dip in the grand Garden of Gods pool, browsing the Forum Shops, watching a show at the Colosseum, or even just walking around its hallowed halls, Caesars Palace is one of the most popular destinations in Las Vegas.
The Peppermill
You haven’t been to Sin City if you have not dined at the Peppermill. This classic restaurant and lounge is where partygoers have late-night omelets or gather around fire pits while sipping fruity cocktails.
The front part of the Peppermill building is a diner that’s well known for serving hearty breakfasts 24hours a day. At the back of the diner is the neon-lit Fireside Lounge which has romantic booths, cozy fire pits, and a flaming reflection pool.
Park Theater
As one of the Strip’s latest additions, the Park Theater at the MGM is now one of the most popular destinations in Las Vegas. It plays host to some of the hottest resident performers on Sin City’s Strip. If you love watching concerts and enjoying live entertainment, then you will have a blast here.
The venue seats 2,500 guests with VIP seating and has a dedicated cocktail service. Its production shows boast of A-list musicians and bands that include the likes of Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Cher, and Aerosmith.
The Venetian Las Vegas
The Venetian Las Vegas not only has the largest suites on the Las Vegas Strip, but it’s also one of the top themed resorts in Sin City.
This ever-expanding complex boasts of larger than life decor that transports its visitors across the Atlantic. Indoor and outdoor gondolas give you a real Venetian experience. The replication of St. Mark’s Square is complete with costumed personalities and gelato stands under a constantly sunny sky.
Fountains of Bellagio
The dancing fountains of the Bellagio are one of the most popular attractions on the Las Vegas Strip. With 1,200 geysers settled in the eight-and-a-half-acre lake fronting the resort, the Fountains of Bellagio never fail to impress its visitors.
The Fountains are set to music, and they erupt every 30 minutes in the afternoon and at 15-minute intervals in the evening until midnight. It’s a familiar sight in many Hollywood movies, including the 2001 hit Ocean’s Eleven.
The Rio Wine Cellar
Our next entry to the most popular destinations in Las Vegas is a wine lover’s haven hiding in plain sight beneath a Brazilian-inspired casino.
The Rio Wine Cellar and Tasting Room is one of the Strip’s best-kept secrets. It’s a museum that is home to just under 10,000 bottles of fine wine, including Thomas Jefferson’s 1800 Madeira. You can’t pop that cork, but there are plenty of options to try and buy if you want to.
The Stratosphere
The Stratosphere is the giant spire that stands out of Downtown Las Vegas. This casino hotel is the tallest in Nevada and it has some heart-stopping thrill rides that suspend adrenaline junkies over the 1,000-foot building.
If you see someone jumping down from the top of The Stratosphere, that’s because the Sky Jump is a controlled free-fall that sends brave guests 829 feet down to the ground. Other rides include Big Shot, Insanity, and X-Scream, and they are just as exhilarating as the Sky Jump.
